Edward Loo Sensei

Edward Loo Sensei is a direct student of Michael Field Soke. He started training under Michael Field Soke in 1991 and was promoted to Sensei on achieving his 4th Dan in Iwama Ryu Aikido in June 2008. He is also an uchi deshi (inside disciple) of Hiroki Nemoto Sensei 6th Dan having trained in Iwama, Japan  in 2007 and 2009. In that period, he also trained at the Founder of Aikido O’Sensei’s dojo in Iwama. Over the years, he has also attended Seminars conducted by Morihiro Saito Sensei, Hitohiro Saito Sensei, Ulf Evenas Sensei, Hiroki Nemoto Sensei and Saburo Takayasui Sensei.

Edward Loo Sensei

In 1997 he started the former Doncaster Branch Dojo of the Field Aikido Centre, which is now the present day dojo of Aikido Dentoukan. As a teacher of Aikido he has successfully trained many students from white belt all the way through to Black Belt, with some even achieving the rank of 3rd Dan.
Edward Loo Sensei has been training in martial arts since his teens in Malaysia and therefore has an extended view and understanding of martial arts, its principles and culture.

He is an extremely capable teacher and extremely devoted to the art of Aikido and it’s transmission to the next generation.
